man it's so hot. mara - my parents just called me from your poolside. i discovered a great treasure hidden in my neighborhood today: the pulaski park fieldhouse and pool.

it's a triple outdoor pool with slides and fountains and cool water and it's free. booyah. it's got a LOT of chlorine in it however, so i really am going to need a shower in the next four hours or else my hair will turn green.

it's another weekend of grilling and drinking in chicago. my favorite quote from a new yorker: "goddamn, all you chicago people ever do is bike, drink, and grill!"
